While they were eating, He took some bread, and after a blessing He broke it, and gave it to them, and said, “Take it; this is My body.” And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. And He said to them, “This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.” Mark 14:22-24
Receiving Holy Eucharist for the first time is a momentous occasion not only for your child but for the entire family!
First Eucharist normally takes place when children are in the second grade, although they must participate in faith formation (either Catholic school or the parish faith formation program) for one full year before receiving the sacrament.
Children who are baptized catholic but beyond the second grade year and wish to receive the sacrament of Eucharist should contact:
- St. Anthony and Holy Angels: email Katy Dalrymple
- St. Helen: email Deb Danner or call 937-254.6233 ext. 306
- Immaculate Conception: email Rachael Griggs or call 937-252-9919 ext. 209
